What are your limiting beliefs?

What are your limiting beliefs?
We all have them. If we didn’t have limiting beliefs, life wouldn’t provide much of a challenge.
Have you ever heard anyone say the following the first time they think it and believe it?
I am an Olympic gold medalist. Done.
I can be a professional athlete. Yup.
I can be a world-renowned surgeon. Easy.
I can climb Mount Everest. Tomorrow.
No one. We all have self-doubt sometimes.
But see, would it be as rewarding if there wasn’t a fight to get that goal?!
No! It’s the journey that creates the exhilaration at the end. It’s who we become on the journey that makes us. That’s why there is even a reason worth celebrating. Our character is born and refined because of that grit and tenacity that fuels that fire in our core. Because of challenge. Because of learning. Because of pain. Because of failure. We celebrate because of who we become.
So we don’t start at the end. And you’re lying to yourself if you’ve never listened to that negative inner voice, “what if you’re not good enough.”
See? We all have limiting beliefs. And we have them all the time…
“I don’t think I can make it.”
“I don’t have enough time.”
“I’m not as good as the other guy.”
“I’ll be happy if I just get in the top 10, 100, etc…”
“I’ll be happy when…”
“I’m too tired.”
“I’ll work hard tomorrow.”
So what are yours?
I’ll tell you mine. I never thought I was as good of an athlete as my brother. I used to think I wasn’t meant to be really successful. I used to think I would lose the important people in my life. I'll never be good enough. I’ll work toward my dream…tomorrow.
But you start to recognize your limiting beliefs… but how do you stop? Well, you eliminate one limiting belief at a time. I can help. Then, you replace them with hope.
Hope comes because of being empowered. Then you win. Then you become.
I'm cheering you on. With all my heart. Let's find your next level.
